Rhode Island libraries are encouraged to link to AskRI to provide RI residents with full access to the services of AskRI. Libraries may also link to individual databases provided by AskRI, in accordance with the directions below.

- OSL/HELIN libraries: use the link(s) provided to you by your library consortium or your EBSCO account representative. This will provide your library patrons with access to databases that your library subscribes to as well as the ones provided by AskRI.
- School libraries with EBSCO accounts: use the link(s) provided to you by your library consortium or your EBSCO account representative. This will provide your library patrons with access to databases that your library subscribes to as well as the ones provided by AskRI.

- Libraries: seamless, no barcode or user password needed (authentication by IP address)
- Remote, from AskRI: by zip code
- Remote, from your library or school: by library bar code or user name and password, whichever system was in place prior to AskRI EBSCO database launch
- Geographic authentication should be available early 2009
