Lynda.com access, and RIPTA bus campaign & contest

Lynda.com Now Available through AskRI.org
AskRI.org is pleased to announce the availability of Lynda.com for Rhode Island library staff! Lynda.com is a leading provider of online courses and tutorials, producing high-quality online instructional videos for learning a large range of topics including business, web-design, computer programming, and computer software (including Microsoft Office, Photoshop and more). Rhode Island library staff can fill out an application on AskRI.org (under the Librarian Center in the Librarians & Educators tab). Once approved and the license is issued, the applicant is granted two weeks of access to Lynda.com. You will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to access Lynda.com courses. Use of the services of Lynda.com through AskRI are reserved for Rhode Island library staff.
Lynda.com is made available on AskRI.org in partnership with Ocean State Libraries.  If you work in a Rhode Island public library, you may also request access to Lynda.com through Ocean State Libraries.

AskRI buses
This fall, keep your eyes open for buses promoting the services of AskRI.org! We’ll be running a campaign on RIPTA buses throughout the state through the months of September and October. To build even more excitement, AskRI is hosting a contest on our Facebook page – the first three people to post a picture of one of these buses with our ads will win some of our finest AskRI giveaways, like a mug and a T-shirt!
